NCWA Seminars

16/17 March 2010

Due to demand a further two seminars have been arranged covering Cords and Drawstrings/Code of Practice (BS 14682/BS 7907) and Flammability and Children's Clothing.

The full day seminar is divided into two sessions. The morning session will cover BS EN 14682, whilst the afternoon session will cover BS7907.  The seminar has been arranged for Tuesday 16th March, here at 5 Portland Place, and will commence at 10.30am.

The Seminar will be led again by Mrs Sue Bolton, who is Convener of the European Working Group, which drew up the Standard on Cords in Children’s Clothing, and who was been a member of the Working Group that revised BS 7907. As well as explaining the content of the revised Standards, Mrs Bolton will be demonstrating examples of garments that follow the Standards and those that do not.  You are also very welcome to bring your own garments so that their conformity or otherwise with the Standards may be discussed.

A further seminar has also been arranged to discuss flammability and children’s clothing, with particular reference to BS 5722 and BS EN 14878, and the Nightwear (Safety) Regulations 1985. This half-day seminar will take place on Wednesday 17th March, at 10.30am, at 5 Portland Place.

For further information or to register your interest in the above seminars please contact Michelle at the NCWA office on 020 7631 6445 or email: michelle@ncwa.co.uk
