NCWA SEMINAR PROGRAMME

CORDS AND DRAWSTRINGS / CODE OF PRACTICE/FLAMMABILITY

Following a revision of BS EN14682: Cords and Drawstrings on Children’s Clothing and also BS 7907: Code of Practice for the Design and Manufacture of Children’s Clothing to Promote Mechanical Safety, the NCWA has arranged two further full day seminars.

The morning session will cover BS EN 14682, whilst the afternoon session will cover the revised BS7907.  The seminars have been arranged for Thursday 24th April and Friday 9th May, here at 5 Portland Place, and will commence at 10.30am.

The Seminars will be led again by Mrs Sue Bolton, who is Convener of the Working Group, which drew up the Standard on Cords in Children's Clothing, and who has been a member of the Working Group that has revised BS 7907. As well as explaining the content of the revised Standards, Mrs Bolton will be demonstrating examples of garments that follow the Standards and those that do not.  You are also very welcome to bring your own garments so that their conformity or otherwise with the Standards may be discussed.

The price of the full day seminar, which includes a sandwich lunch, is £40 + VAT.
A further seminar has also been arranged to discuss flammability and children's clothing, with particular reference to BS 5722 and BS EN 14878, and the Nightwear (Safety) Regulations 1985. This half-day seminar will take place on Wednesday 11th June, at 10.30am (although it may be possible to offer an earlier date if there is sufficient demand).

The price of the half-day seminar is £25 + VAT.
